Victoria & Albert’s

If, no, WHEN you go to Disney World, you must go dine at Victoria & Albert’s, which is a lovely restaurant located on the 2nd floor of the Grand Floridian. Everything about it is sassy and wonderful. The wait staff is extremely pleasant and accommodating, and the food is worth every penny, and believe me, you will spend many pennies.

Victoria and Albert's

Your dining experience includes a seven-course meal, and for an additional, price, you can add a wine pairing. Being the sassy wine snob that I am, I jumped at the chance. The wine was perfectly selected for each course, and I was delighted to have a copy of the menu so I did not have to log it in my wine journal phone app. Because it was a special occasion, I made sure to order some 30-year-old scotch for the scotch snob, and he loved it. The nice thing about a restaurant of this quality is that they won’t sing “Happy Birthday” to you, but they will politely acknowledge your happy cake day as you are seated.

Some of the more memorable food and wine items I had included the second course duck, fifth course lamb, and the first course champagne. I’ll snag the name of it at another. If you like fine dining at its best, then you must eat at Victoria & Albert’s. Be aware that they do have a dress code, so you can’t just show up in your ugly tank top and flip flops, thank God!

When you finish your meal, you can take the monorail over to the Magic Kingdom and enjoy some rides and fireworks. I made the mistake of wearing five inch heels, so walking about the Magic Kingdom drew more attention than one would prefer, but who cares? It’s the most magical place on earth, so why not look sassy while you are there?

Cost: Over $120/person for the basic menu
